Young Tourism Network is coming to you live from your own lounge room with our recently launched webinar series.

Join us as we chat with Stacey Barnes and Madeleine Sawyer in YTN's second episode of Digital Digest.

Madeleine Sawyer

Tourism Executive, Caravan Industry Association of Australia

Growing up in an area where tourism plays a big role in small communities sparked a keen interest in the industry.  A Bachelor of Business and Commerce, with majors in Marketing and Tourism lead to a Grad Program at Crown Resorts, establishing a strong foundation in 5 star service delivery.  After deciding to revisit regional tourism and completing a Master of Tourism, Madeleine now works with Caravan Industry Association of Australia where she actively supports businesses throughout the country in her role as Tourism Executive.

Stacey Barnes

Events Marketing and Development Officer, Southern Grampians Shire Council

She is passionate about connecting people with the unique experiences on offer in regional Victoria, and loves all things relating to the visitor economy, in particular tourism and events.

As Events Marketing and Development Officer for the Southern Grampians Shire Council, Stacey supports event organisers to plan and develop their events, attracts events to the region and promotes things to see and do through the regional destination brand; @visitgreaterhamilton.

Stacey is also a Business Events Victoria Board Member representing the Grampians region for the MICE industry, and last year graduated from the Melbourne Tourism Leadership Program ran by VTIC (which she says was life-changing).

EPISODE 2

Regional Dispersal: Push to the Bush

The role of dispersal is key in the road to recovery for tourism, especially in regional communities. Following the devastating impacts of the pandemic and the bushfires, the dispersal of visitors will allow for businesses to begin their transition back to the “new normal” once it is safe for restrictions to ease. Regional events and road trips will be key to this recovery, but what does this look like in a post COVID-19 world?

If you have any questions you would like answered during the webinar, you can send them through prior to the event date HERE.

You might be feeling thirsty afterwards, so stick around and have a virtual drink with the speakers, the YTN committee and other attending industry guests.

Register for FREE now and keep an eye out for the webinar link closer to the event date. Don't forget to download Zoom.
